This tea is for those of you out there that struggle to wind down and get to sleep. Maybe you have an active mind, and it continues to chatter well past your ideal bedtime, or you are working shift work and need something to help you adjust to a new schedule. Sweet dreaming is a great blend to have on hand for those occasional restless nights, even if you don’t need it daily!

What’s Inside?

Rooibos*, skullcap*, California poppy*, valerian root*, hops*, ginger*, orange peel*, cinnamon sticks*

Dosage + Preparation:

1.5-2tsp per cup. Pour boiling water over herbs, cover and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Add a little honey if you like, and enjoy 30-45 minutes before bed!

Rooibos: affects metabolism of acetylcholine in the brain, preventing excessive firing of neurons that cause wakefulness, blocks hormonal pathways that cause inflammation and pain, great for treating medication-related insomnia!

Skullcap: relieves anxiousness, stress, and headaches and helps control nighttime muscle cramps and restless legs

Passionflower: reduces anxiety, ADD symptoms, and insomnia, is an effective remedy for nerve pain (neuralgia, shingles), improves diminished sex drive

Valerian Root: tranquilizer and calmative herb that improves anxiety, insomnia, menopause-related problems, restless leg syndrome.

Hops: has a relaxing effect on the nervous system, excellent for insomnia in combination with valerian

Ginger: a spicy, warming herb used enhance flavour, but also has countless benefits! Great for male and female reproductive systems, eases nausea/vomiting/morning sickness/car sickness/motion sickness, reduces menstrual cramping, reduces bloating and gas, opens up pores and promotes sweating (removing toxins from the body)

Orange Peel: traditionally used in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for immune and digestive support

Cinnamon: a warming digestive aid that can improve circulatory and digestive problems. Has antiviral and antiseptic properties, so it’s great for fighting infection.
