Happy Mama Bundle
This bundle makes the perfect gift for an expecting mother! There is a common misconception that herbs are to be avoided during pregnancy and nursing. Don't get me wrong, many of them should be-- but that blanket statement takes away some options that can be extremely helpful during this nine month period and beyond.
I personally used herbal medicine with great success throughout my pregnancy as well as postpartum to improve energy levels and speed up recovery. A good rule of thumb when it comes to using herbs during pregnancy and while nursing is to choose herbs that can be used safely in high doses for long periods of time--herbs that are considered "tonics" and have nutritive properties without being highly medicinal. Our food-like herbs like alfalfa, nettle, raspberry leaves, oat straw, and more.
What's Included?
- One (50g) bag of Rest & Digest Tea
- One (50g) bag of Womb Love Tea
- 60 capsules Lively Liver
- One, 2 ounce Ginger Tincture
- One (20g) bag of Soothe postpartum healing bath tea
Dosages:
- Rest & Digest tea: consume 1-3 cups of tea daily or as needed for improved digestion and calming the nervous system during pregnancy
- Womb Love tea: consume 1-2 cups of tea daily throughout the first and second trimester, and increase dose to 3 cups daily in third trimester. This tea can be made strong and sipped throughout labour and after baby is born to promote healing, prevent hemorrhage, replenish nutrients lost during childbirth, boost milk supply, and encourage the shrinking of the uterus
- Lively Liver: take 1-2 capsules daily with or without food for gentle liver support both during pregnancy and nursing.
- Ginger Tincture: take 15 drops of the tincture in a little water if experiencing any nausea, morning sickness, or digestive disturbance. Use only when needed.
- Soothe bath tea: see product description for the various uses for this bath tea during the postpartum period! Use liberally!
I have created a section in my shop with my pregnancy and nursing safe formulas so that you can be confident in what you are consuming during these important times! I did not include my Milky Milks lactation tea in this bundle as lactation teas should only be used by mothers needing/wanting to increase milk supply while nursing. Drinking too much lactation tea can cause an overproduction which can be uncomfortable for a new mother!
