Chai High
This traditional spiced chai brings me right back to India, where there is a "Chai Walla" on every corner preparing fresh, fragrant milk tea that is like a hug in a mug. Please note that this tea contains caffeine!
What’s inside?
Assam black tea*, ginger*, cinnamon*, cardamom*, star anise*, cloves*
*Certified USDA Organic
How to prepare:
Classic Chai:
Use 2-3 tsp chai mix per cup of water. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan, add chai and simmer for 5 minutes until tea gets dark & fragrant. Add your milk of choice and simmer 1-2 more minutes, strain, sweeten (if preferred) and enjoy.
Black Chai:
Follow same steps as above, but don’t add milk!
Feel free to add additional fresh ginger when making your chai, or any other spices you enjoy. Fennel, black pepper, coriander seeds, and red peppercorns can make a lovely addition.
